How to get a customer to share their screen over the phone

Give the customer the address help99.net and a six-digit code, then ask them to agree and choose what to show in their browser. Nothing is shared until they agree, and they can stop at any time.

By Bizcomco Inc., the operator of Help99. Last updated .

1. Create a code

Open your agent dashboard and create a six-digit code while the customer is on the line.

2. Say the address and code

Tell them: go to help99.net and type the code. Read the digits slowly and have them repeat them.

3. Ask them to agree

Tell them a consent prompt will appear and that nothing is shared until they agree.

4. Ask them to choose what to show

Their browser opens its own picker. Suggest a single browser tab as the narrowest choice, then ask them to press Share.

If they cannot or will not share

Ask for a consultation where you share your screen instead. Customers on phones and tablets cannot share their own screen today, but they can watch yours.

What you will see

Only the tab, window or screen the customer chose. You cannot click or type on their computer.
